as cliche as it seems, this song came on the radio tonight as i drove home from hollywood for the first time without needing google maps or getting lost. it was one of those sublime moments where the weather is perfect and your windows are down, you’re a bottle of wine deep, driving just a bit faster than everyone else and the wind blows through your hair and you’re sucking down your 10th cigarette of the evening and suddenly you see everything crystal clear.
i haven’t had one of those moments in a long time, and it was much needed.
